Privacy Policy for the Global Aviators Scholarship Exam (GAISE)

This Privacy Policy explains how One World Aviation Group (“The Group,” “We,” or “Us”), which operates the Global Aviators Scholarship Exam (GAISE), collects, uses, protects, and discloses information gathered from applicants for the Learn & Earn Program. The GAISE is the main entry point into the program and is designed to identify students based purely on merit.
1. Information Collection and Sources
We collect information necessary for the administration of the GAISE and subsequent international admission, visa, and financial processes. Data collection occurs primarily through the official Global Aviators Exam website and registration portal.
A. Personally Identifiable Information (PII)
This information is collected during the online application (Step 3):
- Contact and Login Details: Name, email address, phone number (used for creating a student login and receiving confirmation via email and SMS).
- Demographic Data: Age, date of birth (to verify the minimum 17 years/maximum 26 years requirement).
- Identification Documents: A recent passport-sized photograph and a copy of an ID (Aadhaar or Passport).
B. Educational and Aptitude Data
- Academic Records: Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and certificates.
- Eligibility Data: Confirmation of completion or appearance for Class 12 with Physics and Mathematics.
- Aptitude Data: Examination performance results derived from the offline, paper-based OMR exam.
C. Financial and Payment Data
- Registration Fee Payment: Online payment data (debit/credit card, UPI, or net banking) used to pay the required fee (₹4,490 or ₹4,990). The system automatically verifies payment and generates a digital receipt.
- Proof of Funds (Post-Exam Phase): For selected students, we collect financial proofs for visa and admission, including bank statements, loan sanction letters, and Income Tax Returns (ITRs) from parents/sponsors.
D. Technical and Communications Data
- Chatbot Data: User queries are logged for analytics and quality improvement.
- Communication Records: Email and SMS records related to confirmation, result notification, and offer letters.
2. Purpose of Data Use
The collected information is used transparently for the following purposes:
- Exam Administration and Verification: To verify student identity using photo ID and hall ticket, allocate exam centres, and ensure fairness and security during the paper-based OMR exam.
- Eligibility and Selection: To confirm eligibility criteria and evaluate performance based on the OMR evaluation. Data is used to prepare the merit list and determine scholarship awards.
- Admission Processing: To issue the official Offer Letter and process documentation required for admission acceptance and I-20 preparation.
- Financial and Loan Coordination: To provide required documents, such as the official Cost Certificate and Scholarship Award Letter, to financial institutions (SBI, Axis, HDFC Credila, ICICI, etc.) to support the education loan sanction process.
- Visa Compliance: To submit necessary PII, academic, and financial documents to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) for I-20 form issuance, which is mandatory for applying for the F-1 student visa.
- Communication and Support: To provide students with step-by-step guidance, answer queries via the chatbot, and assign a dedicated counsellor until travel to the U.S..
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We may share applicant data with internal entities and necessary third-party partners involved in the Learn & Earn Program. All sharing is strictly for the purpose of application processing, admission, and compliance:
- Partner Academies and Universities: Data is shared with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) to facilitate admission and I-20 issuance; and with flight training partners (World Wide Wings and PTC Flightline) for training registration.
- Financial Institutions: PII and financial proof are shared with banks and NBFCs upon the student’s request for loan sanction.
- Government and Regulatory Bodies: Data is shared with U.S. immigration authorities (for SEVIS, DS-160, and F-1 visa processing) and DGCA/FAA-approved doctors for medical verification.
- Internal Audit: All transactions and scholarship awards are tracked in the Group’s scholarship ledger for audit and transparency.
4. Data Security and Integrity
We are committed to maintaining the security of applicant data:
- Secure Evaluation: Answer sheets are barcoded to ensure anonymity during evaluation, and results are processed centrally using OMR scanners to prevent manual errors and bias.
- Confidentiality: The chatbot must avoid collecting or storing personally identifiable or financial information beyond basic registration data. Sensitive data (e.g., passport numbers, bank details) is directed to secure communication channels or a human counsellor.
- Physical Security: Exam centres are monitored by invigilators and CCTV to ensure security and prevent malpractice.
5. Data Access and Appeals
Students have the right to query discrepancies related to their result scorecard.
- Verification Requests: In case of discrepancies, students may submit an online query within 3 working days of result publication.
- Final Decision: A verification panel will recheck the OMR record, and the decision of the examination committee will be final regarding all results.
6. Governing Law and Disclaimers
This Privacy Policy is governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable in India, where the GAISE registration and payment (INR) takes place.
- The chatbot does not provide legal, immigration, or banking advice.
- Information such as fees or exchange rates may change and should be reconfirmed with the admissions team.
